The Great Missionary Legacy of the Church
The mission of teaching our language and faith is rooted in the glorious evangelical history of the Church of the East. Historically known as the "Church of the Missions," our ancient fathers carried the Light of the Gospel across thousands of miles without political power or military protection, driven purely by faith and love for Christ.

The Church as the Guardian of the Assyrian Nation
For over two millennia, the Ancient Church of the East has served as more than a spiritual home; it has been the sanctuary and guardian of the Assyrian people. In times of exile, displacement, and persecution, the Church preserved the national identity, language, and culture when all temporal institutions had fallen.
- Unity in Diaspora: As Assyrian families scattered across the globe, our parishes became the central gathering places where the community gathers, youth stay connected to their roots, and elders find comfort in familiar traditions.
- Cultural Continuity: Through programs like the St. Zaia Assyrian School, the Church bridges the gap between generations, ensuring that young Assyrians born in the diaspora maintain a proud connection to their ancient heritage, script, and faith.
Through the work of our clergy, language schools, and youth ministries, the Church fulfills its sacred double calling: to shepherd souls toward salvation in Christ, and to safeguard the living heritage of the Assyrian nation for generations to come.
